About CRAVE

What the program is, and what it is built to do.

What is CRAVE?

CRAVE is a human skills training program. It develops five skills that shape how people lead, perform, connect, and grow: Courage, Resilience, Awareness, Visualization, and Execution.

It is more than a talk. A CRAVE engagement includes instruction, a workbook, activities and exercises, guided practice, short daily practices, and a shared vocabulary that keeps the work alive between sessions.

What does CRAVE stand for?

Courage, Resilience, Awareness, Visualization, and Execution. Each letter is a skill that can be trained, practiced, and strengthened.

How is this different from the training we already do?

Most training makes the plan better. CRAVE makes the people better at carrying the plan out.

It sits alongside technical, product, and process training rather than replacing any of it. Teams that go through CRAVE tend to get more out of the other training they are already doing, because the human skills underneath it are stronger.

Who is CRAVE for?

Organizations that want to invest in their people, and individuals who want to train these skills for themselves.

Within an organization it works for new leaders, experienced leaders, sales teams, and whole departments. The framework stays the same and the examples change to match the room.

Is CRAVE based on research?

Yes. [The Evidence](/the-evidence) page lists the meta-analyses behind the framework, links each one, and states plainly where the research pushes back.

We publish the limits alongside the support. No single study proves the CRAVE framework, and the page says so.

For organizations

Bringing CRAVE to a team, a department, or a whole company.

What are the ways to bring CRAVE to my organization?

There are three main formats: a keynote, a half-day or full-day workshop, and the complete CRAVE Training Experience. New Leader Training and sales leadership engagements are also available.

[For Organizations](/for-organizations) describes each one and who it suits.

How do we decide which format is right?

Through a discovery conversation. Every organizational engagement begins with discovery, and it is included at no additional cost.

You do not have to arrive with the format chosen. Bring the audience, the goal, and the moment your people are facing, and we will work out the shape together.

What does discovery involve?

A conversation, or several, about your people, your goals, and the moments where the plan is asking the most of your team. It is how the examples, the format, and the level of support get matched to your organization.

What does it cost?

It depends on the format, the size of the group, and the level of support. Pricing is discussed during discovery, once the shape of the engagement is clear.

[Start an organizational conversation](/start-your-journey#organizational-inquiry) and we can talk it through.

How large can the group be?

It varies by format. A keynote reaches a large room. A workshop and the complete experience work best with a group small enough for people to practice and be heard.

Group size is one of the first things discovery settles.

Do you travel?

Tell us where you are and when you are hoping to run it, and we will work it out during discovery.

For individuals

The self-paced experience, and how to be first to hear about it.

Can I go through CRAVE on my own?

The individual CRAVE experience is being built now. You can [join the waitlist](/for-individuals#waitlist) to hear the moment enrollment opens.

The waitlist asks for nothing but a name and an email. No payment is requested.

What will the individual experience include?

A self-paced video experience, a workbook, tools and exercises, Gap Training, and a scheduled conversation with Mike.

[For Individuals](/for-individuals) describes how you will move through it.

When does it open?

It is in production now. Joining the waitlist is how you will hear first.

I have a question before joining the waitlist.

Ask it. Mike answers these personally. Use the [question form on Start Your Journey](/start-your-journey#individual-questions).

Getting started

What happens after you reach out.

How do I start a conversation?

Three ways, whichever suits you. Use a form on [Start Your Journey](/start-your-journey), email [mj@simplehealthylife.com](mailto:mj@simplehealthylife.com), or call [781-367-9298](tel:+17813679298).

What if I am unsure which option fits?

Choose "Help me choose" on the organizational form, or reach out directly. Working out the right fit is part of the conversation, not something to settle beforehand.

Who leads the training?

Mike James, who created CRAVE and leads the engagements personally. [About](/about) covers the experience behind it.

Who is behind CRAVE?

CRAVE is a training program offered by Simple Healthy Life LLC, founded by Mike James in 2016.
